Airwide Solutions Announces Financial Veteran Jim Jordan as CFO
BURLINGTON, Mass. and READING, U.K. - Aug. 2, 2006 - Airwide Solutions, the leader in next-generation mobile messaging infrastructure and applications software for wireless operators, today announced it has hired high-tech industry veteran Jim Jordan as CFO. Jordan joins as the company continues its rapid global expansion and as its portfolio of messaging software and applications are now serving mobile operators with a pathway to IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) without sacrificing the investments they've made in existing infrastructure. Airwide products are now also providing mobile operators, content developers and marketing agencies with the targeting, tracking and measurement information required for mobile campaigns as mobile marketing grows to a projected $10 billion industry.
As CFO, Jordan will manage all global financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, legal compliance, payroll and treasury functions.
Jordan brings to Airwide extensive financial experience in software, professional services, mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, and helping companies launch and develop financial systems and controls. Jordan has worked extensively with high-growth companies to maximize their venture capital investments, and this experience is expected to play a crucial role in Airwide's growth strategy. Prior to joining Airwide, Jordan served as CFO for several companies including GlassHouse Technologies, BIT9, Verrillon, Ntru and ArsDigita Corporation. Previously, he held a variety of financial management positions at Cambridge Technology Partners, Inc. and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Jordan gained exposure to Airwide and the mobile messaging market when he recently served as interim CFO for the company. "Like many emerging companies, Airwide has innovative technology, but as I became involved with Airwide I also saw the strength of the management team and the true growth potential," said Jordan. "I believe my experience helping build venture-backed companies will be a good fit for Airwide as it strengthens its global position."
Airwide Solutions President and CEO Kevin Wood said, "Jim's arrival dovetails with our international growth strategy. He has the business acumen and experience to help us grow quickly and pragmatically as we expand our product lines and take advantage of new global markets."
