Software Configuration Management Administrator/IT
Location: Espoo, Finland
Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the code management, configuration control and document control systems. (ex.: Rational tools, Continuus, CVS, SVC…)
- Develop and update SCM procedures and guidelines.
- Perform audits on projects and systems to ensure that the SCM procedures and guidelines are followed.
- Develop the necessary external components (scripts, plug-ins, reports utilities…) to support the SCM procedures and Guidelines.
- Provide presentations and training to R&D team members on the aforementioned tools and procedures.
- Respond to questions from developers on the use of these tools and procedures.
- Ensure that processes are maintained for maintenance, backup, distribution of code and offsite migration of code to/from linked configuration control systems in other offices.
General Responsibilities
- Develop ideas and solutions jointly with others.
- Ensure that commitments are agreed, reviewed and met
- Other duties and assignments as required and agreed upon
Qualifications & Experience
- BS Computer Science, BS Software Engineering or related field
- 3+ years experience in software development (C, Java …)
- 2+ years experience in software configuration management or working with Rational Unified Change Management (UCM)
- Sys. Admin. scripting, installation, migration concepts, Perl & bash preferred
- Experience with Make or Ant and with Unix command-line tools and networking fundamentals

- Must have excellent English communication skills and a high degree of flexibility;
- Outstanding customer service attitude;
- Should demonstrate competency in decision-making, flexibility, planning and organizing, self-initiative and interpersonal skills.
Special Features
- Will be required to travel to other countries 2-3 times per year.
